HIV/ AIDS is a important issue everywhere you go, even in my country Germany.

From 2006 to 2008 the Federal Agency for Civic Education did a great campaign called 'Fruit & Vegetable'. Although I was a bit too young to understand the issue, the campaign got to me because they used humor to send te message. It got quite popular because you could see huge posters of it everywhere: besides motorways, in pedestrian areas, train stations... So why is it funny? On the poster you see very tasty fruits and vegetables rapped in condoms with great slogans. The slogans are in German of course, so I'll translate it for you guys. (Even though it is quite hard, because most of them are puns in Germany, but not the same in English) On the poster you see the yummy corncob wrapped in blue, and it says ‘Pop for sure'. ‘To pop' , quite obviously, means that corn can pop but in Germany it's also another way of saying ‘to have sex'. Everyone in my country knows this campaign, because they tried reaching youngsters on their own level, just like DAA does of course!
