Singer when you're winning

Early September our next group of international young students at IHAEC are arriving from Ukraine, Italy and Spain and -among other things- they will work on a campaign that focuses on fashion. They will be guided by a well known Antwerp fashion designer and a graphic designer and we made the neccessary preparations to make their work easier: although we work with designers a lot, we are not actual designers ourselves (we design concepts and campaigns but not clothes), so we needed sewing machines for the workshops. Being an old skool girl myself, I first bought this vintage cast iron Singer that's still in perfect working condition and is great for a beginner: you just sew straight ahead and that's about it. We also purchased one of those modern electronic sewing machines, but that one looks too boring to photograph. If you really want to see it, please come visit us- or better still, if you're a Flemish (former) fashion student with a lot of free time on your hands, there's still one place left open in this workshop that takes place from September 5 until October 29 on every weekday. Now if you excuse me, I have some jeans that need tightening.

An no, I didn't sew those silver and gold bears myself- they're from H&M Home and will be guarding the students' beds when they arrive.
