Who would you think about if I say grace, glamour, signature pin-up style, ethereal beauty, sexy lingerie and corsets, vintage cars, lots of diamonds and feathers, satin and silk…? (Oh god, all of this sounds so good already doesn’t it, ladies?!)
 

To me the answer can only be one and is Dita Von Teese (born as Heather Renee Sweet, sweet!).

This Michigan-born and raised burlesque dancer, model, designer, entrepreneur and actress who studied historic costuming and costume design and trained ballet dance from an early age, has always had an obsessive passion for vintage lingerie, more than 25 years of career in the dancing/fashion industry under her belt and you’ll just never guess her age!
 

She has an incredible repertoire of shows and places where she performed; Vanity Fair and many other fashion magazines state that she’s one of the best-dressed people in the world – and no wonder why as she takes extreme care of her gorgeous look every time she appears in public. Her trademark is her milky pale skin, raven locks, black eyeliner and red pout with a huge splash of glamour in every single detail about her.
 

Not long ago she has partnered with Artdeco to create her own range of make-up Dita, as well as recently launching her new perfume Erotique and a vintage dress collection for Target. She was also image of the Cointreau advertising and marketing campaign “Be Cointreauversial” and in the meantime produced and designed several lingerie collections for her label Von Follies, launching her latest underwear collection couple of weeks ago in conjunction with Myer in Australia, where she was one of the models and vowed the public with her appearance and recently posed for the Lambertz Calendar 2014, which will be titled Godesses of Europe and which she just had to be in!
 

Forever emulated but never bettered, she looks stunning even without make-up. Dressed in a gown made entirely by plastic biscuit trays at the Lambertz Monday Night event – just as great as her famous show at the New York Academy of Arts in which she wore 5 million dollars worth of diamonds and nothing else.
 

Dita became a friend of DAA back in 2009 when she modelled a David Downton tee with an alluring image of her iconic lips and arched brow that I absolutely love.
 

The former wife of goth-rocker Marilyn Manson (now dating the singer Theo Hutchcraft) has been a Playboy cover not once but three times and is most famous for her dance routines – where, as she says, she puts the “tease in striptease” – especially the epic show of her having fun on a giant martini glass. She can manage to lace-up her waist down to 16.5 inch, has four amazing old-school cars in her garage, a house full of vintage china that she collects apart from the tonnes of vintage clothing and lingerie and even manages to find time to take dressage lessons… Oh man, I’m jealous of her lifestyle!
 

There are many reasons that make Dita such unique character and everything about her is just so mesmerising to me. And yes, she’s my crush in case you were wondering :)
