This Is A Special Support Message For ‘Dress Up Against AIDS’

Adriana Bertini, an ARTvist from Brazil who has given her heart and soul into a project that she came up with to fight against AIDS and a Friend of DAA, is calling out to us.

Dress Up Against AIDS is her baby. She creates costumes with condoms that are part of an industrial production fault. Her project includes a workshop where she involves youth to get in contact with condoms, which eventually opens up a discussion about sex in their homes. Just like many others Adriana believes that prevention is the best way to fight against HIV/AIDS.

You may already know that from 20 to July 25, 2014 the 20th International AIDS Conference takes place in Melbourne, Australia. This is a very big event that brings activists, doctors, scientists, health officials and others interested in the subject together to address one issue: HIV/AIDS. This conference is organized for those who want to study, learn and share experiences about HIV/AIDS and how to stop its spread. Adriana has the support of the National STD/AIDS of the Ministry of Health of Brazil to attend the International AIDS Conference, but she needs more help!

This is where all of you come in: in order to attend the conference and to do the ‘Dress Up Against AIDS’ exhibition, she will need your financial support. She doesn’t ask much, anything you can give is more than enough.
