Already during his industrial design studies in Genk (Belgium) designer Michaël Verheyden (1978) was a very active person. He established the punkrockband Promenade Seven, worked for well known designers as Fabiaan Van Severen and Piet Stockmans, and got to know the Parisian fashion world thanks to a crucial meeting with Raf Simons. In January 2009 Verheyden got the Henry van de Velde award for young talent from minister of economy Patricia Ceysens.
