Oliviero Toscani (born 1942) is an Italian photographer, best-known worldwide for designing controversial advertising campaigns for the Italian brand Benetton, from 1982 to 2000. Now, he is creating a new research facility for modern communication called 'La Sterpia' whose Head of Video Production is Leandro Manuel Emede. In 2007, Emede directed WART: a video centered around a concept developed by Toscani, mixing War and Art. Emede's latest movie is ANOREXIA Story Of An Image, a documentary about Toscani’s picture NO ANOREXIA presented at the Locarno film Festival 2008.
