Rihanna walked the red carpet in Los Angeles to present the documentaryIt’s Not Over by Andrew Jenks, a new film focused on how the AIDS epidemic is affecting young people around the world. The singer joined UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé and leaders of the MAC AIDS Fund, as she is their 2013 ànd 2014 Ambassador (the 2015 Ambassador is Miley Cyrus) of Viva Glam, a line of MAC Cosmetics that allocates one hundred percent of their sales from a Viva Glam lipstick and lipgloss to the fight against HIV. "Our global quest to end the AIDS epidemic as a public health threat aims to ensure that young people can come of age in a world that is safer, healthier and more just,” said Mr Sidibé. “This film shows how young people are using emerging communications and social networking technologies to raise awareness about the epidemic and advocate for continued attention to HIV.”

The MAC AIDS Fund and UNAIDS are working to encourage young people to get to know their HIV status, leveraging social networking, film and other tools. We are very pleased with the success of this initiative because at Designers Against AIDS we work for the same purpose: to reach out to young people and to teach them more about HIV/AIDS. Our main objective is to raise awareness, so our messages are: ‘Prevention is the only cure for HIV/AIDS‘ (Protect yourself and your partner) and ‘Know your status’ (Get tested). Furthermore we fight for the acceptance of and equal rights for sero positive people.
