The eye-catching singer Yelle (a feminised acronym of "You enjoy life") originates from France and has always proclaimed to be a person who speaks what's on her mind and who enjoys the spotlight in its craziest ways. She followed into her dad's footsteps, who is a famous French musician, as she gained an immense popularity on Myspace with her tunes and stepped into the world of fame after posting a song titled "Short Dick Cuizi", dissing Cuizinier, a member of the Parisian hip-hop group TTC. With producer and close friend GrandMarnier, Yelle recorded her debut album, a masterpiece in the genre of electropop, which obtained heavy airplay on MTV. In October 2007, she even opened for Mika during his European tour, finding fame across the French boundaries. This artist is an icon for many youngsters and inspires a generation with her self confident look and attitude; but more importantly, she speaks freely about any subject, including hard ones such as HIV/AIDS. That's why she was one of our perfect matches to represent DAA through the second Fashion Against Aids campaign.
