Belgian singer, 1980s pop icon, mother of 6 children and HIV/AIDS awareness veteran Lio is one of our latest spokespersons and collaborators.
For World AIDS Day, Apl.d.Ap of the band Black Eyed Peas has sent the following message to Designers against AIDS:
“From the considerable amount of time I’ve spent in the Philippines – not just to visit my family but also to work on various initiatives through the Apl Foundation – I’ve seen first hand the devastation that the lack of AIDS awareness has had on the global nation.

Popular Flemish TV and radio presenter at VTM/2BE/Studio Brussels and a former VJ on TMF Belgium An Lemmens is one of our latest spokespersons.
One of our staunchest supporters and DAA Ambassadors is fashion designer Katharine Polk, who started up her own label Houghton about a year ago.
Los Angeles-based, Israeli-born fashion designer Yotam Solomon supports our work- watch this space for his fantastic offering for our next auction on Charitybuzz!
Designers against AIDS uses pop culture to get the safe sex message out into the world and if there's one artist who's become iconic in pop culture the last years it's Stefani Joanne Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga, who loves music, video, fashion -and taking a stand against HIV/AIDS and for equal rights for all.
Browsing through our archives I found this photo of blogger Perez Hilton on a night out in Los Angeles with his friends Katy Perry and Adam Lambert, wearing a Designers against AIDS T-shirt that was created by Canadian singer Peaches.
The last of the French couturiers supports our work!
...and we couldn't say it any better if we tried!
Enjoy the weekend & keep it safe & sexy!
This weekend we had a visit of Patrick Janssens -the mayor of Antwerp- who invited us to open a Pop Up Shop in Antwerp's City Hall a few months ago.
On October 30, 2001, a group of popular recording artists under the name "Artists Against AIDS Worldwide" released an album containing multiple versions of "What's Going On" to benefit AIDS programs in Africa and other impoverished regions.
