Today we got contacted by our friend Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, the world's first openly gay prince, who lives in India and who heads the Lakshya Trust, an organisation advocating the social, economical, legal, psychological aspects of the Indian LGBT community.

Manvendra has now started a crownfunding campaign on Ketto (Asia's largets crowdfunding platform), to raise funds so they can continue and hopefully expand on their important work. The campaign is called 'Love To Be What You Are'.

Here's what he says himself: "
I am Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil of Rajpipla in Gujarat, the world's first openly gay prince to come out to the world in 2006 and the only Indian to be on the Oprah Winfrey show three times. I came out to help the LGBT community so that they don't suffer the way I did. I founded Lakshya Trust in 2000, the first organisation of its kind in Gujarat to create a platform for global advocacy for the LGBT community.  These are some of the projects I am campaigning for : education facilities, a care home, counselling, an old age home, a health center, a library, a safe space, HIV testing and treatment, legal services,

This is just the start. With your help, I believe we can accomplish many things. Let me know you stand with me by donating today. "

Please help Manvendra, the Lakshya Trust and the LGBT community in India by donation via this link and by sharing the campaign among your networks. Thank you!
