Last week we had a meeting with the students from 180 Degrees Consulting where they showed us the report they had been working on since two months. 180 Degrees Consulting is the world’s largest consultancy for non-profit organizations and social enterprises . The consultancy connects the untapped capabilities of university students with the unmet needs of socially conscious organizations.

The students of 180 did research about our online charity store (http://designersagainstaids.tictail.com/) and on how we can promote it in a better way, resulting in more sales. As you know, we use 100% of all sales for our projects, but people have to find us first.

We love working with students; in 2010 we launched the international ‘Youth For A Better World’ Education Center. Since the education center opened its doors we have hosted over 100 students who lived with us for up to a year, plus countless students and interns who went back home at night. We teach the young people how to set up effective and creative HIV prevention campaigns, using DAA’s pop culture based methodology. The students take this knowledge home, they are encouraged and supported to build up equally successful campaigns in their countries of origin - sharing and spreading their knowledge and experience among their peers. At the moment we do most of our educational work online.
