We proudly present the 'Bringing Safe Sexy Back' charity sunset fashion event and party on Saturday May 21, 2011 starting at 5 PM at the W Hotel Retreat & Spa in Seminyak, Bali. The past 10 years we have been working very hard to spread the safe sex message that we find so important all over the world and we are happy to announce that DAA is now bringing that message to Bali.

The event will feature models dressed in the latest ‘Fashion against AIDS' collection (our coop with H&M), a series of T-shirts designed by Marc Jacobs, plus DAA T-shirts with safe sex slogans. During the fashion event there will be performances by Australian singer Alex Longstaff and a Balinese/house dance by boys from the Bali Kids charity. After the show New York DJ Joseph Quartana (who's also the owner of Seven, New York, a progressive fashion boutique) will man the DJ booth at WooBar. Many international guests have already expressed their interest to attend the event, that promises to be one of the most fashionable happenings of 2011 in Bali. Any money raised will be donated to the Bali Kids charity - so spread the word! Designers against AIDS is on the look-out for a motivated young man/woman to come study with us at our International HIV/AIDS Awareness Education Center in Belgium and we're also making a photo documentary in Bali during the month of May, photographing and speaking with local people, expats and tourists about their view on HIV/AIDS and the need for protection. We plan to publish this in an Indonesian magazine, internationally and online. This way we can make people and the media more aware of HIV/AIDS - about the fact that new HIV infections in Bali have doubled last year, that the disease can be prevented and that if everybody has the right information, most people will act responsibly. Together we can make this an unforgettable night and prove once more that pop culture has the power the make the world a better and healthier place.
