Designers against AIDS has been supporting charity Bali Kids (www.balikids.org) since 2010 and paid them a visit again in April 2012, just before they moved from the small private house that they were sharing with over 20 children (including some very ill ones) to the new center that opened in May 2012 and that houses around 40 children plus their carers, a small dental clinic and a doctor’s cabinet. Program Manager Brenton Whittaker explains more about Bali Kids and why helping others is the most satisfying thing in the world.

We help Bali Kids with fundraisers both in Bali and in Belgium and we hope that the children will have a healthy future ahead of them. Bali Kids will also help raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among young people in Bali, so that new HIV infections will drop. In this video you see the children practicing a dance for a fundraiser in Bali and Vietnam and we also visit fashion atelier Balilab where two French designers (Naco Paris and Alexandre Miel) customized a DAA T-shirt, part of a series of 5 shirts that we used in a fashion shoot at W Retreat & Spa Seminyak.
