It’s what changed the way we live. What made us think of the world differently. It has inspired us with new and better ideas to do things in life. No, I’m not talking about my mom, I’m talking about Apple, the greatest company in the world.

Yes, I'm indeed an Apple lover. And today I heard the news about Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook saying that he was proud to be gay. After reading this, I talked to DAA's founder and creative director Ninette Murk and she told me something quite admirable. She said that she wasn’t shocked or surprised about the news. “It’s not something to be surprised about, he’s gay, OK, it doesn’t really make any difference” And then she continued: “But telling this to the public could actually inspire some young people”. And this is very true. Knowing that the boss of such an amazing and cool company is gay can actually motivate young people -and hopefully their parents and friends too.

“So if hearing that the CEO of Apple is gay can help someone struggling to come to terms with who he or she is, or bring comfort to anyone who feels alone, or inspire people to insist on their equality, then it’s worth the trade-off with my own privacy.” Says Tim Cook.
