May 17 is 'International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia' and with all the hate against the LGBT community lately (Russia, Uganda, India, the reactions to Conchita Wurst's participation to the Eurovision Song Contest this year and many more 'incidents') that day has become more relevant and needed than ever before. The world is turning into an intolerant place at such a fast rate that everybody with a bit of common sense in their brain will get scared.
What's wrong with people hating on gays? What have they ever done to you except show that there's more diversity in life than you possibly thought? What's wrong with supporting people who love each other? Call us naive, but almost every gay baby has heterosexual parents and one of those parents could be you one day. Then what are you going to do? Hate your own child? There are more important issues in the world to get upset about such as pollution, inequality, wars, human rights, corporate companies telling us what to think, what to buy, what to watch and who to vote for... Support love not hate!
