On May 19, supermodel Karlie Kloss and designer Jason Wu went to New York streets to join the Step Forward team, who created an AIDS awareness event. 45 000 people collected $6 014 822, of which Karlie's team collected $58 025.
Another well known face in the race was Friend of DAA singer Keri Hilson who lead the MTV AIDS Walk team. "I’ve met amazing young people in their inspirational mission to break taboos, foster tolerance and spread the message of HIV protection in their local communities", - she told in her speech afterwards. All money raised will go to Gay Men’s Health Crisis and 40 other local organizations working against AIDS. Nice work, guys!
