Pharrell Williams never stops to amaze us, but what he created now (together with the film crew from ‘WE are from LA' (who actually are French if I'm not mistaken; a bit like the band who sang ‘We're from Barcelona' came from Sweden) brings his talent to the next level. I'm talking about the video ‘24 Hours Of Happy' www.24hoursofhappy.com that goes with his new single of the same name. In it, we see a lot of people dancing their way through the streets of Los Angeles during a 24 hour period, interspersed by Pharrell himself in various very fetching outfits. You see young people, old people, thin & fat people, good dancers, people who just shake their head & shoulders a bit, stars and hoodlums and everything in between. And you can't stop watching, so this is not really suitable during office hours if you want to get any work done. This video is strangely addictive: you'll get curious about the next dancers and where they'll be filmed, if the guy with the live cat on his hat will show up again, what the reactions of people in the streets will be... it's such a lot of fun and according to what I see on social media today it already makes a lot of people very happy indeed, so it's mission accomplished for The Talented Mr Williams! After I met him at a photo shoot for Fashion against AIDS in New York a few years ago, where he proved to be smart, charming and kind, I'll always have a soft spot for him and this video just makes me admire him even more. Well done and let's hope the happiness is catching, as heaven knows the world needs a heavy dose of happy right now...
