I have no doubts in saying that one of the new gay meccas in the world is Tel Aviv. Israel is becoming more and more attractive to gay people from all over the world and there are a lot of reasons for this. Firstly, in the Middle East region, Israel is one of the most tolerant countries and the most used to a multicultural environment. Secondly, nowadays the nightlife scene in Tel Aviv can be considered as one of the most exciting worldwide. Thirdly, it is a common opinion that men from Israel are HOT.

Michael Lucas is an American-Russian-Israeli, gay pornographic actor and director, as well as the founder/CEO of Lucas Entertainment, New York's largest gay adult film company. One of the most famous films from Lucas Entertainment is "Men from Israel", where Lucas showed the international audience the exotic charms of the all-Israeli film cast. Last year, Lucas and his camera returned to Israel and a couple of months ago Lucas Entertainment released "Undressing Israel: Gay Men In The Promised Land", a documentary about how different from the common opinion life for gays in Israeli society is (click for the trailer). 

Unfortunately there's also the other side of the coin to consider: yesterday Israel's Ministry of Health published a report stating that HIV infection in Israel has increased by 55% since 2005 and every well-informed gay person knows that the risk of infection in the gay community is higher than the average anyway (here you can find details about the survey). To all of you that are booking your flights for Tel Aviv, I just want to say that soon I will be one of them and since when I am looking for fun I don't want to have any other worries than looking for the right club, I am going to take a big box of condoms with me for sure.
