For her project MPMP Katrin Reinfurt (worked for Walter Van Beirendonck and is currently active as a teacher and designer in Beijing) is inspired by a utopian theory of Magnetogorsk, a city in the Urals that survives on a mountain that consists entirely of iron ore. MPMP is a futuristic concept with emphasis on science and nature in which hope and love are central and became a starting point for designing a fashion line but also fabrics and materials, in-situ installations, video montages and bizarre objects.
All that is exhibited in three days at MOFO (Rijnkaai 37, old oort of Antwerp), a brand-new venue with a beautiful view over the river Scheldt.
This Saturday June 23 you are invited from 17h to 19h for snacks and a drink (the Italian 'apero' concept is being introduced in Antwerp). Later that evening (21h) W. Ravenveer creates live sounds from another universe after which the legendary Daniel de Botanicus puts 'new beats' of long past times on the menu. DJs Stroheim and Redray of the label 2000 's High finally take you along on the best electro waves. The magnets, love and a load of beautiful design will be abundantly present- will you?
The midsummer sun goes down at 22:02, you don't want to miss this- you have a front seat at this magnificent location!
