Back From Italy And Ready For The Summer!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I wrote my last personal blog entry. What happened to little Matteo during this period? Well, a lot of things. First of all: I've been to Italy for some days because my beloved sissy sister got married. Such an amazing weekend, full of emotions and people that I didn't see for a long time - parents, siblings and nephews at the top of my list. The wedding was beautiful, during the 10-minutes-long ceremony I cried without a break. Plus, I looked gorgeous as for this occasion I bought my first suit ever.... It was time to grow up, little Matteo! Yes, that's why I tookmy brand new suit and my collection of ties back from Italy: my goal is to start using them a bit more often from now on.

News item number 2: why did I came back to Belgium anyway?! When I arrived here at DAA I was supposed to end my project on June 9 - like Branislava did - so my plan was to go to my sister's wedding and stay in Italy. So how come you're still reading my entries? Newsflash: I will stay at DAA for another 6 months as an intern! Yay!! I am so happy that I have the chance to continue my job here. I really enjoy working for this amazing organization and I hope I will be able to grow as much as I did during my first six moths here. Thank you!

For this reason I will spend the summer in Antwerp and I really hope I can enjoy the good weather as I did this last weekend (while today we can enjoy the usual grey-cloudy-windy-chilly Belgian weather). I was so optimistic weatherwise that, next to my suit, my suitcase was also filled with a lot of short-short-shorts. If I don't use them during July and August, it's not summer for me. Therefore my other plan is to bravely wear them as much as I can - right after the rain, that I'm seeing now out of my window, will stop.

Cheers!!
