Hi everybody! Last night I returned to Antwerp from my Easter holidays. So nice to see my relatives and friends again, even just for a few days and surprise, surprise I ate too much - thanks mom! But it was not all fun and games, even though it was a holiday. I met up and had a long conversation with a friend of mine who is active in politics in Modena - my place of birth - we talked about Italian politics and especially the situation for young people in Italy. It was not cheerful news she had to tell me, according to her and a friend of hers who just been elected into the Italian Parliament, Italy is not the place to be right now if you are young and looking for a job. "Don't come back to Italy, Matteo" she told me, many people in their twenties and thirties are all fleeing Italy for better opportunities overseas just like the mass immigration 100 years ago to the Americas. It sucks that this is our only choice, if you are ambitious and want to do something with your life. But complaining is not gone solve the problem, it's time for action, it's time for doing our best and follow our dreams, no matters where you are. There'll be always time to come back, eventually.
