This past autumn Stephen Jones celebrated the 30th birthday of his House, Stephen Jones Millinery. To join in the festivities, MoMu-Fashion Museum houses the largest collection of Stephen Jones hats (120 items) outside of the UK, in an exceptional exhibition. Just in time (the exhibition ends this weekend), we got the chance to admire some spectacular pieces of true millinery art. From hats inspired by birds -and created out of birds- to a bowl of French onion soup and miniature gardens, no design is too crazy for Jones.

In a separate room we discovered a couple of pieces that Jones created together with Belgian designer Walter Van Beirendonck. Immediately our eyes fell on a small detail in one of Van Beirendoncks designs: SAFE SEX. Are we already so much in the process of professional deformation that we spot these tiny details right away? Anyway, keep spreading the word Walter.

If you have the chance to go and see this wonderful exhibition, run to the Fashion Museum this weekend. It's really worth it!
