Hi, I'm Mirela and today is my first day as an intern at DAA. I don't think I have ever been this nervous before. I am 21 years old and I am a last year student in communication management. I believe that I am very open-minded, easy going and quite sociable. If someone can make me laugh, that will make my day. School was an adventure, but now it is time for the real deal. The hard part of an internship is choosing that one company/organization that you want to work for, that means something to you. When I read about Designers Against Aids I thought to myself: ‘ Why not help a good cause while doing my internship'. I think HIV/AIDS is a serious issue in the world and not many people know what it is, how to prevent it or what kind of impact it can have on a person's life. I'm definitely not saying that I know everything about it, on the contrary. I have a lot to learn myself. What do I expect from this experience?: First of all I hope to learn a lot, about HIV/AIDS, about communication on the subject. But also about how it is to be in a real working environment. I love the fact that it is a small group that I work with. I look forward to getting to know everyone, including the cats. Keep on reading the blog and I'll see you guys soon. Love Mirela
