Be honest, have you been putting yourself at risk sexually? Get tested! 

This is the message the region of Flanders in Belgium is sending with the launch of 'Sexual risk behavior? Get Tested!'. The short movie-trailer style video starts with the story of a woman's (busy) sex life and ends with her visit to the doctor to get tested for STDs and the advice: "New partner? Or had unprotected sex? Contact a doctor and get tested for STDs". Who would have thought such a positive thing could happen in just 37 seconds, eh..?! Also, contrary to what I expected when I first watched it, the video/campaign is not by MTV or some youth association..but actually an initiative of more "serious" entities such U.S. Biopharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb in cooperation with Vlaams Hepatitis Contactpunt, info and support association for carriers of hepatitis B & C in Flanders, and Flemish sexual health centre Sensoa. I just love how the video actually tells/shows (non-judgementally) how sex is and not how it should be according to a given moral standard. This is definitely my big 'Like' of the week! x La Vero
