Today we attended a seminar on HIV and women. First Professor Marleen Temmerman gynaecologist and Belgian senator told us about the rise of HIV among women. This goes especially for women who live in third world countries and are faced with inequality, lack of education and violence. Afterwards Ruth Borms tolds us everything about HIV/AIDS in Belgium and the Flemish organization Sensoa. This was followed by two very interesting personal testimonials. The first speaker has HIV and has been living with it for more than twenty years. The second woman's husband has HIV and she told us about her experiences.
