There isn't much that can cheer me up in the morning, but some good weather goes a long way.

Damn, I've been staring at this first sentence for over 5 minutes now, thinking of something to write but absolutely nothing comes to mind.

Could it be that when I'm having a good day I'm not creative? It's certainly possible, but then again not really a quality handy for working in an organisation called Designers Against Aids.

Maybe it's because my mind is pre-occupied by memories of my tram ride over here.

Do you know those people who, when they see just one ray of sunlight, get filled with happiness? I know them, I've met one this morning. I was waiting for the tram, minding my own business and there he came: a big man in his late twenties to mid-thirties, he walked right past me and then stopped walking and turned around.

My eyes were fixed on the ground because that's what I do when I'm thinking because then there is no chance people can get the impression you are staring at them, which always leads to an embarassing moment. The people you are staring at start feeling uncomfortable and try shuffling their position or they start looking somewhere else while looking back at you every now and then, checking if you are still looking. This happens until you snap out of your daydream and get confronted with the fact that you were creeping people out. As a result of this you look away but sometimes you check if people are still feeling unconfortable which will inevitably result in a moment when you both check each other at the same time and your embarassement reaches the next level.

Anyway, this guy was standing beside me and although I couldn't see his face I felt he was looking at me. Slowly I looked up, he was wearing red shoes, purple skinny pants which were so skinny it could barely contain his "vital" parts and on top he was wearing a blue leather jacket. When my gaze reached his face the corners of his mouth curled up. He looked at me with his big brown eyes and the biggest smile I've ever seen in my life. We stared at each other for a few seconds. Then he took a big breath, turned his head towards the people on the other side of the street and started singing as loud as he could: "Oh it's a beautiful mooorning!!"

I was staggered but I guess that is what happens when something hits you in the face at 300.000 km/sec.
