What To Do Now? It Is Our Choice!

I only heard about the explosions in Boston this morning and now it's impossible for me to think about something else. I'm human; I'm feeling bad for something that didn't touch me, I'm feeling scared and depressed because I saw people suffering. We are human; we can love each other so deeply, we are able to give happiness to others, desiring just a smile as a reward. We are human; we are able to hate people and we can rationally plan to make them suffer, and some of us had a reason to do so. We don't know this reason and even when/if we'll know it, it is going to be impossible to accept. Ninette's words, and those that she quoted, are helping me to process these emotions, thank you especially for these words: "Exhibit patience. Get involved in your community. Educate yourself on what is going on in this world. Be aware. Try to see others' points of view, even if there is no way you will ever agree with those views." We are not alone even if we are different and everyone is responsible for each other because we can change everyone's lives. Laws don't matters, they are an agreement that some of us made for everyone. The final choice is always ours. Life forces us to take decisions and the less we understand each other the more difficult our choice will be. "What I really need is to get clear about what I must do, not what I must know (...). What matters is to find a purpose, to see what it really is that God wills that I shall do; the crucial thing is to find a truth which is truth for me, to find the idea for which I am willing to live and die" (S. Kierkegaard). We are humans, we are living all together, probably we will not ever be fully aware of our truths but we know it will always be unique. It is our choice wether to make this FACT a reason for destroying our world or for doing our best to make it beautiful.
