Yesterday  was ‘Everyone Matters Day’.  For all of you who don’t know what this is: it’s a global Inclusiveness campaign which stars people such as Sir Paul McCartney, Nicole Kidman, Ellen DeGeneres, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Graig, Natalie Portman, Tom Brokaw, Dame Judi Dench and  Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The organization’s aim is to send out a collective message to judge others less harshly, to see the humanity in everyone and to emphasize that everyone has the right to be who they are! It’s all about stopping the bullying and mistreatment of people. With ‘EVERYONE Matters Day’, the word ‘EVERYONE’ really means everyone: black or white, gay or straight, male or female, disabled, senior, overweight, religious and ethnic. It is the full 100% of people. Each celebrity supporter has come up with a slogan of exclusiveness for online and school campaigns. You can check out all the different slogans here. I think they are truly inspiring. My personal favorite is the one from Natalie Portman: “Let’s bring back an old idea: Treat others as you would like to be treated”. ‘Everyone Matters Day’ is a project of the non-profit organization ‘What’s Your Issue Foundation’ and was founded November 30th in 2011.
