In our daily fashion lifes, where we care about what to wear, who's hot and what is not, we sometimes forget about things that really matter.
Luckly, organisations such as Designers Against AIDS remind us of that and that’s why -as a side project of Models Against AIDS- Dominique Models came in contact with the fantastic people of ‘La Maison Shalom’ in Burundi, Africa. This organisation was founded by one woman: Maggy Barankiste who tries to help rebuilding the country after many years of war.
Thousands of children were left orphaned during and after these wars and many of them are also contaminated with HIV. If you know that 1 year of Tri-therapy costs 450 euro for 1 child, you will realize that this is a fortune in a poor country such as Burundi.
This is why we try to raise as much money as possible to help a maximum of children get the medicines they need –and you can help!
To collect funds, Dominique Models is inviting all of you this Saterday November 21st at PURE club in Anwerp (with free drinks for all models between 10 and 12 PM).
You can also donate on the following Belgian account : 000-0039999-35 - Maison Shalom / Hospital Rema - Action Sida
All the money we raise is directly used to buy medicines for the seropositive children in Burundi.
