Update: to support DAA even more, Marc Jacobs has decided to bring the T-shirts he created for Playboy over to Europe and to also start selling our book 'Designers against Aids:
Snow is falling and the house smells like pine trees, we are ready for Christmas, feeling all warm and jolly, happy to invite you for a visit to our EDUCATION CENTER, hot chocolate, a snowball fight AND for some GOODWILL CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!
Starting next Monday and leading up to World AIDS Day (Deceber 1st), you can buy one of the unique scarves that people from all over the globe made for 'Knitting against AIDS' in our pop up store in the beautiful Stadsfeestzaal on Meir in Antwerp's shopping center.
DAA is working at a project right now where we make unique -mostly unisex- shoulderbags out of 50 year old hand embroidered Hmong fabrics that we sourced in Thailand.
A while ago, we got covered in Juicy Couture clothing that was donated to us by the UK branch of this lovely brand, to use for workshops in our new education center next year and to raise funds.
IN 2008 DESIGNERS AGAINST AIDS presented a new collection of T-shirts and sweaters designed by Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein Collection, Playboy Design, Girls from Omsk, Marc Atlan, Wayne Hemingway, Katharine Hamnett, Robert Smith (The Cure), Rogan Gregory, Chicks on Speed, Miss Kittin, Percy Irausquin, Christophe Coppens and Mingface.
The t- shirts and sweaters were made of organic cotton in a Fair Trade community in India with the help of German company Sense Organics.
Watch this space for the annoucement of the opening of our new online store at the beginning of May- with a brandnew collection!
