Let’s be honest, a lot of us have had some experience when it comes to casual sex. You know, hookups, one-night stands, fuck buddies and friends–with–benefits. And you know people involved in such activities are often judged in a bad way (especially women). Well, stop it right there, because you never know the whole story. Not all of those casual sex experiences are bad, you know.
 

It’s time that the truth about the hookup culture gets revealed. That’s why ‘The Casual Sex Project’ has been organized by Dr. Zhana Vrangalova (a NYC based sex researcher, educator and NYU instructor).
 

The project is a website where people can anonymously tell their ‘hookup’ stories. The point of this project is to share stories and to help demystify casual sex encounters. Because, right now whenever the media reports on hookup culture, it’s linked to college students and casual sex invades the sexual space and disrupts time honored traditions and norms, and bla bla bla.  Guess what: casual sex doesn’t just happen to college students. This is why The Casual Sex Project invites anyone, no matter what age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, …. to share their stories on the website. It's a part of sexual education. There's always more to a story than you can see on the surface.
 

So if you are willing to, go to The Casual Sex Project and tell us about your experience, or just read what others have to say. You’ll see that a lot of the people who have shared don’t regret their hookup at all. Zhana hopes to show people these experiences are very variable and not intrinsically bad -or good- for the ones involved.
