Some of you probably already know that from May 1 till May 17 Belgium is celebrating the PrideFestival. It is the 19th edition that the Pride4Every1 is taking place in Brussels. Last year there were at least 80.000 participants.
Pride4Every1 consists of debates, animations, themed evenings, literary cafés and a lot more cultural activities. All have LGBT as a central theme.
This year Pride4Every1 is on the same day as the ‘International Day Against Homophobia’ and it’s also in the election week. This is why the main theme of this year is: ‘Choose for equality’. One day, two big events. I think that’s worth celebrating.
Brace yourselves, because the Belgian Pride has an announcement. Five years from now, in 2019 there will be, just like this year, the European elections. Brussels is the capital of Europe. therefore Belgian pride and Pride4Every1 have decided to apply for candidacy in organizing EuroPride on May 18, 2019. Will you be there to support your rainbow family?
