Only last week we gave you guys some updates about Rihanna, who starred in our first global 'Fashion against AIDS' campaign (with H&M) in 2008 and on November 1 we learned that she's been named the new face of Viva Glam, following in the notorious footsteps of Cyndi Lauper, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and RuPaul, among others.

The company wrote on their Twitter: "MAC Cosmetics is thrilled to announce the next Viva Glam spokesperson: Rihanna. Arriving January 2014. More information to come as MAC releases official details about the upcoming instalment of Viva Glam."

MAC’s Aids Foundation was created in 1994, and has so far raised $270 million through the sales of Viva Glams’ lipstick and gloss- MAC Cosmetics donates ALL proceeds of these products to their Foundation and supports organisations worldwide in their fight against AIDS and for the prevention of HIV. Two years ago MAC Cosmetics donated 100.000 USD to Designers against AIDS to enable us to build the work we're doing with our International HIV/AIDS Awareness Education Center and we're still very thankful for this as without donations such as these, we can't continue our work.

As far as Rihanna is concerned, we think she'll be a perfect spokesperson for Viva Glam (although she hates being a role model) as she lives her life the way she sees 'phucking' fit- and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as you play safe.

Rihanna's Viva Glam lipstick and gloss will be launched in a MAC Cosmetics store near you in January 2014, so that's something to look forward to- can't wait to see the new Viva Glam campaign!
