Today I came across the MKE LGBT Community Center. I think this is lovely. The center  was built to serve the needs of LGBTQ people and to make it a safer area for them. MKE LGBT is active in anti-violence, healthy relationships, counseling and financial coaching. It’s a real support system if you ask me.
 

One of their programs caught my attention. The youth development program, Project Q, was developed for youth and young adults ages 13 to 24. Project Q is a safe place where these young people can fully identify and express themselves without feeling rejected or ridiculed.

I love this center. Just their ‘slogan’: Be yourself says a lot. It’s lovely how people take initiatives like these so that everyone has their ‘safe haven’.  I call it PRETTY AWESOME.
