Last week Ninette gave me the opportunity to attend a journalistic workshop in Genk. It was a three day workshop organized by C.H.I.P.S. StampMedia, a youth media agency. I was looking forward to doing the workshop so when the day finally arrived I was really happy! I chose to do the workshop about writing journalistic articles, so, my assignment was to choose a subject and write a good story about it. Together with another girl who was doing the workshop I wrote an article about a new exhibition with instagram pictures in Leuven: Seemyleuven. To write a good article you have to interview a lot of people, that’s why we asked the organizer of Seemyleuven if we could attend the opening of the exhibition. We were really excited when she said that we were on the guest list (for a moment we felt really special and important). The opening was a big success, we even got champagne and delicious snacks - and when the snacks are good, nothing else can go wrong for me. In the end it wasn’t that hard to write the article because we had collected a lot of information during the opening.

It was a really good experience and I learned a lot about my writing style.
StampMedia is still looking for new young reporters, so if you’re up for that you should really check out their website and attend a workshop:  http://www.stampmedia.be/
By the way, the exhibition in Leuven is still going on till 31 March so if you like instagram pictures (and who doesn’t?) I really suggest you go and have a look!
