I have to admit I’m not a fan of musicals and I don’t have a cultural insight about musicals. On the other hand one of my greatest passions is puppetshows and what a joy I felt today when I found this hilarious HIV awareness spot played by characters from the musical “Avenue Q” ( here the link ). Avenue Q is a Tony Award winning Broadway musical, performed by puppets as well as by actors. PRINCETON is a recent college grad who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. Princeton has no idea about his purpose in life but a funny bunch of colorful puppets will help him to grow up and become an adult. The spot I’m posting today is played by ROCKY, the young republican ROD and LUCY THE SLUT, who plays the most significant line of the video (I think that the opinions here at DAA are pretty similar to those of Lucy). Other characters from the musical are the next-door-girl KATE, the Internet sex-pert TREKKIE and also the adorable BAD IDEA BEARS (here an interview of them). Enjoy the show!
